The house was built in 1900 by James Murchie, who came from Scotland to Traverse in 1891 as an apprentice blacksmith. All of the old woodwork and wooden floors have been preserved over the years in this beautiful centennial home.

Beautiful early American furniture from the federalist period; 1750 to 1850. A comfortable living room to relax in, catch up on news or visit with friends. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. House guests have keys to come and go as they please and are allowed the utmost privacy. A small kitchen and garden deck are available for guests. A full hearty breakfast is included, made with local, fresh, organic foods. A glass of local wine will welcome you in the evening. Hot and cold beverages are available all day.

We provide lodging that is centrally located, making it easy to enjoy biking, hiking, skiing and golf. A short drive can take you to local wineries, scenic views, and cherry orchards.
